Sultan Al Burtmani

Managing Director

With 22 Years of International and Commercial experience in the energy industry. Sultan Al Burtmani Led as Managing Director of OTTCO and is responsible for implementing OTTCO’s Strategy and position the company as Oman’s Independent Tank Storage network Company. Prior to joining OTTCO, Sultan held several Management/leadership positions in Energy Sector and experience Business Development for the Commercial and Downstream leading strategic projects, project delivery and M&A opportunities.

Salim AL Hashmi

VP Technical Services

Al Hashmi is Project Delivery Director, he is responsible for the overall delivery of the OTTCO’s projects including Ras Markaz project, and operation of the company terminals.

Salim started in the field of leadership at early age, since 1998 Salim has been working in executive roles in strategic planning, change management, establishing & maintaining productive stakeholder relationships, project management, & operation.

Holding a master’s degree, with over 28 years of experience in military programs, offshore and onshore Oil & Gas facilities and terminals, service providing, and Power.

Worked in military infrastructure and IT projects with executive role for almost 18 years. Joined Oil and Gas in 2011 with sold experience in project management and operation, taking multiple executives’ roles in OQ Projects & firms management such as CEO/Project Director of Musandam Power (listed company in Muscat Stock Market), and Ras Markaz Project Delivery Director.

Hafidh Al Ismaili

VP OQ Logistics 

Hafidh Al Ismaili is experienced Operations Manager with a demonstrated history of working in the oil & energy industry. Skilled in Petroleum, Supply Chain Optimization, Operations Management, Pipelines, and Operational Excellence. Strong operations professional graduated from University of Bedfordshire.

Khalid Al Kalbani have more than 18 years’ experience in marketing & business development, joint ventures, investments, renewables energy, market analysis, negotiation, sales, contracts & procurement, solar project management, operations and petroleum market, logistics, infrastructure, oil & gas industry. Holds Master of Science in Enterprise Management, from UK and Bachelor of Commerce from Australia. 

Hilal Al Kharusi

CEO Commercial & downstream - OQ 

With over 29 years wealth of international business experience in the energy sector, Hilal Al Kharusi is the Chief Executive Officer of Commercial & Downstream at OQ.

He started his career with Petroleum Development Oman and Shell international managing a number of energy projects across the Middle East, CIS, Africa and Russia. Prior to joining OQ, Hilal was the Executive Vice-President for Emerging Businesses at Oman Oil Company whereby he developed large-scale energy projects locally, managed the Group’s international M&A activities, and responsible for managing a diverse energy portfolio. Hilal serves as Board Chairman in Oman Oil Marketing Company (OOMCO) and Chairman of Majis Industrial Services and Chairman of the Centralized Utilities Company (Marafiq) and chairman of OQ chemical shareholders committee and a board member in OQ trading.

Hilal holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geosciences/Economic Geography in 1999 and an MBA in 2007 from the UK.

Aflah Al Lawati

VP treasury - OQ

Aflah Al Lawati has been with the Oman Oil group since December 2013. He currently holds the position of Business Partner to Chief Executive, Commercial since August 2019 with a focus on providing support to manage the day to day business activities along with managing and executing the strategic initiatives within OQ.

Aflah has in depth understanding of financial market dynamics and excellent communication and relationship management skill with key stakeholders and shareholders. Other experiences include management of the integration program under OQ including the 100-day roadmap design.

Previously Treasury Manager in Oman Oil Company, He has 15 years of experience in financial advisory, corporate finance, execution of financial solutions and capital raising. He has Diverse exposure in corporate finance & treasury management working on local, regional, and international transactions for capital raising and funding solution mandates.

During the integration of Oman Oil and Orpic Group, He was Nominated by OOC management to be part of the steering committee on downstream integration project. This required significant coordination efforts with consultants, financial advisors and shareholders. He played a pivotal role as part of core Integration Management Office “IMO” team, responsible for managing the deliverables of OOC and Orpic Integration project (NakhlaProgramme). Currently engaged with OQ’s transformation office on balance sheet optimization and divestment program.

He has been an active Board member of Oil Tanking Company from 2020.

Mr Al Lawati holds a BSc Bachelor of Commerce, Finance from the University of Northern British Columbia, Prince George, BC, Canada and a professional qualification in Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership, Chartered Management Institute (CMI), UK
